YATE Air Cushion safety shoe from the SAMSON Professional range of products. This is among the most comfortable shoes in the range with a specialized Air Cushion sole to reduce impact when on feet for long hours. The genuine cowhide leather upper offers a padded top cuff for ankle comfort. Using only the best quality 2.0mm leather thickness far more than the average allows for increased durability and wear life. Available in a Ladies Version and also available in half sizes and wide fitting to accommodate all foot shapes. All of our Samson range is manufactured in an Environmentally Sustainable Factory equipped with solar panel roofing, energy efficient machinery and using recycled packaging materials. GENERAL
1.1 Three eyelet Gibson uniform shoe, black fine haircell cowhide leather upper with padded top line . Style 5222 standard fitting. Style 5223 wide fitting. Style 5224 ladies fitting.
1.2 PVC direct cemented sole and heel.
1.3 The whole is constructed to comply with the requirements of EN ISO 20345.
2. DETAIL
2.1 Upper Black full grain leather, 1.8mm/2.0mm substance.
2.2 Vamp Lining and Quarter Lining Leather.
2.3 Insole 2.75mm/3.00mm ‘Texon 480’ cellulose board, or 3.0mm ‘Redoma’.
2.4 Steel Toe Cap 200 Joules, to EN ISO 20345. 2
2.5 Sole and Heel Deep cleated translucent PVC direct cemented to the leather upper. Oil, petrol, acid and alkali resistant. Deep cleats.
2.6 Footbed Full leather footbed with raised instep support.
2.7 Sizes 5222 – sizes 4-15, Half sizes 4½-12½. (size 14 /15 extra large sizes have a 25% surcharge) 5223 wide fit ,sizes 4-13, Half sizes 4½-12½. 5224 Ladies style – sizes 3-8 full sizes only.
3. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Impact Resistance When the footwear is subjected to the 200 Joules impact test as specified in EN ISO 20344, the minimum clearance inside the steel cap area shall not be less than the appropriate value given in Table 4 of EN ISO 20344. (14mm for size 8.)
3.2 Crush Resistance When the footwear is tested in accordance with EN ISO 20344, the minimum clearance inside the steel cap area shall not be less than the appropriate value given in Table 4 of EN ISO 20344. (14mm for size 8 when subjected to 15,000 N.) 3.3 Slip Resistance When tested in accordance with the requirements of EN 13287:2004, on ceramic tiles coated with NaLS, the coefficient of friction shall not be less than 0.28 for the heel and 0.32 when flat.
